Dr. Islam M. Elnakib

Prof. Islam Mohamed ElNakib is a Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, boasting over 25 years of hands-on expertise in the transport and logistics industries throughout the Middle East and North Africa. He excels in enhancing operational efficiency, driving innovation, and steering strategic growth initiatives.

In his former role as Dean of the College of International Transport and Logistics at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, he led a vibrant team in delivering premium education, groundbreaking research, and industry-focused programs that set new global standards in the discipline.

He earned a PhD in Supply Chain Management from Liverpool John Moores University (UK) and a Bachelor’s in International Transport Management from Nottingham Trent University (UK). He occupied prominent leadership roles, including Chairman and board member at the Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company, as well as the General Authority for Land, Dry Ports and Logistics Areas in Egypt, where he developed transformative policies to reinforce Egypt's logistics infrastructure and boost its global competitiveness.

Certified as a trainer by FIATA and IRU, and serving as President of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Egypt Roundtable, he consults on high-profile national and international projects for leading multinational corporations in logistics and supply chain management. His publications explore vital topics such as distribution networks, logistics operations, supply chain strategies, recycling, e-logistics, and logistics service providers.

His core proficiencies encompass supply chain transformation, logistics optimization, multimodal transportation integration, risk mitigation, sustainability, digital adoption, leadership development, and organizational reform. Committed to overcoming sector challenges through data-driven approaches, forging strategic partnerships, and mentoring future leaders to create resilient, future-oriented supply chains.
