عفوا، لم تتم ترجمة هذه الصفحة بعد. What is Career Day? Effat University, the first private non-profit women's educational institution in Saudi Arabia, is always keen to promote a culture of learning amongst the youth in Saudi Arabia. It engages students in career-relevant education within a supportive learning community. In Effat University, the Career Development Office is on a constant quest to provide its students, graduates and the community opportunities that enrich their career development and assist them in reaching their fullest potential. Accordingly, the Career Development Office organizes the Career Day every year. This event provides vital information that broadens knowledge about career development opportunities by offering lectures by influential speakers, panel discussions, and workshops. In addition, the Career Day provides a Job Fair open to new graduates, current students, and others seeking job vacancies. In the Job Fair area, representatives from different organizations accept resumes and answer questions about job openings and opportunities. Moreover, there is a designated area for career counseling, CV enhancement, printing and photocopying. At the same time, the Exhibition area will feature booths and exhibits from various companies presenting their services and products. Last year, more than three hundred people attended and more than forty companies were represented. Changing Roles… From Job Seekers to Job Creators This year, the theme will focus on promoting solutions to the current global economic recessions affecting the job market. One main solution is the role of higher education in providing the necessary educational curriculum and atmosphere to students to become highly career skilled individuals ready to overcome the challenges and obstacles presented when securing a job. Another aim is to assist the youth- who are the most concerned with current economic issues- create job opportunities for themselves and for others. This will be executed through the first Career Day Competition. |
