Students at EFFAT University enjoy a holistic approach to education, which provides them with an opportunity to develop personally, socially, academically and professionally which eventually, leads to promoting key skills and competencies required in an EFFAT University graduate.
This task is achieved through the provision of extra-curricular activities to suit the diversity of leaders studying at Effat University. Participation in activities which suit students’ interests contributes to students’ academic achievements.
Components:
Students' Governance:
Student Governance is a student organization run by students for students independent of the educational facility. The purpose of these organizations is to represent students both within the institution and externally. They are also responsible for providing a variety of services to students. It consists of the following officers (and may consist of more officers if voted in by the University student body):
- President
- Vice President
- Vice President for Finance
- Communication Officer
- Secretary
A handing-over ceremony is held with the Dean, Vice Deans, and Chairs of Departments on the last day of Final Exams of the Fall Semester to recognize the new Student Government. Responsibilities of the Government are extensive and are discussed regularly with the Student Life and the Dean for Student Affairs. Wherever possible, Student Government will include representatives from all three Colleges of the University.
Terms of Service and Government Selection
- The President of the Student Government should be in Good Academic Standing
- The President of the Student Government should be voted for during the spring semester of each academic year
- The President of the Student Government takes over the last day of exams of the fall semester
- The President should submit a letter of confirmation with the names of the government members one week prior to the beginning of her term as President
- The President of the Student Government should arrange for a Student voting event during the fall semester of her term as President of Student Government to enable the students to elect the next President.
Queen Effat Citizenship Award (QECA).
committee to nominate herself .Every academic year, EFFAT University recognizes on outstanding student of academic and personal merit to hold the Queen EFFAT Citizenship Award (QECA). The QECA winner has several privileges and also acts as the voice of the students in making recommendations on behalf of the Student Government and student body to the University Council.
The following conditions have to be met in order to qualify for the QECA award:
- Student status should be full-term
- The student should not have any failing grades or incompletes
- The student should have cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above
- The student is an active participant in University activities
- The student’s performance in her college and participation in co-curricular activities and on her Student Development Transcript should indicate that she is proud representative of Effat University and a contributor to the community
- The student should have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours
- The student should write a letter addressing the QECA selection

- The student should make a presentation before the selection
Social and Civic Responsibilities:
Social and community service / volunteer work Students are encouraged to be active members of society through volunteering and assisting in the change of the society and the community.
University Days, National Days, and International Days
special recognition to the important and significant days that are celebrated nationally and internationally. These days include Saudi National Day, International Literacy Day, International Day of Peace, Universal Children’s Day, the International Day of Tolerance, End of year ceremonies, graduation, and Maadat Al-Rahman, sun and fun,…etc
Health & Fitness Programs
Positive health is about maintaining health and fitness which will enable you to manage daily lifestyle. The focus is the same; improve your whole well-being.
Trips
National and International trips within and outside the Kingdom for educational and recreational purposes. There are two types of trips. Educational Trips: conferences, symposiums and seminars. Recreational Trips: Learn about varied culture, history of countries, civilization, ethnicities, traditions, and evolution.
Student Exchange Program
Student Exchange Program is for students’ to live in a foreign country and be immersed in another culture, expand their ability to communicate in another language, host an exchange partner from that foreign country, enhance language proficiency, increase awareness of other cultures, foster global awareness, promote personal growth and development
Speakers
The purpose of the speaker of the month is to provide students with the knowledge and the experience from the experts from different fields; each month the office of student life organizes for a distinguished speaker to give a talk to all the university students.
