Effat University Hosts “Choose Your Career” Workshop
Jeddah, March 2018: under the patronage of HRH Princess Lolowah Al Faisal, Vice Chair of Effat University Board of Founders & Board of Trustees, and General Supervisor of the University, Effat University, in Cooperation with Ithraa Consultancy Group (ICG), hosted high school students from Jeddah in a “Choose Your Career" Workshop.
With the presence of the guest of honor Her Highness Princess Dima Al-Saud, a graduate student of the University of Jordan, who has participated in several international events on women, more than 1,000 students attended the workshop. Speakers and presenters of the workshops offered comprehensive advice on choosing a major and career, jobs and professions, decision-making skills and inspiring stories and innovations, and on dealing with self-choices. The CYC Global Test was also conducted to identify the specialization and personality analysis of a number of female students who attended the workshop.
This important initiative of hosting this event comes from Effat University to support its future vision of the need to enhance the role of young women and the university to serve the community.
Dr. Haifa Jamel Al Lail, President of Effat University, said: “We are very happy to cooperate with Mrs. Noha Al Yousuf, CEO of ICG, to help girls play an active role in building the business community in Saudi Arabia based on Vision 2030, as one of the university's roles is educating community members to learn about their aspirations and specializations." She also added, “Effat University seeks to inspire the leaders of the future so that they can have a better life and achieve their aspirations and dreams to provide the best for their community and those who surround them."
The speakers and attendees included inspiring academic and community personalities, such as: Her Highness Princess Dima Al-Saud, Dr. Malak AlNory - Assistant Professor and Provost of Effat University, and Ambassador of Women Empowerment in the fields of clean and renewable energy, Ms. Noha Al Yousuf, the first Gulf woman to receive the Stevie International Award, CEO of the ICG enrichment group, Mr. Meshaal al-Harasani, a Saudi inventor, presented more than 40 inventions that participated in international leaders' preparation programs in America, And Ms. Heba Kadi, founder and general manager of Update Company for Content and Innovation. The ceremony was presented by Dr. Malak Abu Nar, Assistant Professor and Dean of Student Affairs at Effat University and Dr. Hatoon Kadi, associate professor at Dar Al-Hekma University, a blogger, and the presenter of the famous Women's Program on YouTube.
