Jeddah, November 2018: Under the patronage of HRH Princess Lolowah Al Faisal, Vice Chair of Effat University Board of Founders & Board of Trustees, and General Supervisor of the University, and with the presence of HRH Princess Noha Bint Saud Bin Abdulmehsen Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, General Manager of Marfad Foundation, under the 10/10 initiative, Effat University launched, in collaboration with the Marfad Foundation for Social Development, the website and the 10-10 application, In Effat Library & Cultural Museum, on November 8, 2018.
10/10 is a social initiative launched by Effat University in collaboration with Marfad Foundation for Social Development, which focuses on the safety and security of the individual while driving through awareness and education of the information and procedures of the driving world, as well as providing a quick, easy and flexible way to report on emergencies that an individual may face while driving, and in raising the speed of response by individuals and related parties.
Dr. Haifa Reda Jamal Al Lail, President of Effat University, said regarding this event: "Effat University is proud of this cooperation and initiative, which aims to introduce the members of the society of men and women to the relevant regulations".
It is worth mentioning that the website and application are a unified portal with detailed and accurate information related to the world of driving, including the best apps from the experiences of the former to produce a conscious and continuous individual. It also aims to focus on the safety and security of the individual (man or woman) while driving through awareness and education of the information and procedures of the driving world, as well as providing a quick, easy and flexible way to report on emergencies that an individual may experience while driving to help speed up response by Individuals and related entities.
The ceremony also included an introductory video highlighting the efforts of the partnership and cooperation between Effat University and Marfad Foundation for Social Development, which resulted mainly in the development of a website aimed at introducing members of the society to the relevant regulations and laws, which facilitates the request for assistance in an emergency.
The partnership between Effat University and Ford Motor Company, which culminated in the Ford Driving Skills For Life (DSFL) For Her, was highlighted in its second edition, a special version of Ford's award-winning driver safety program, to suit the needs of students in their journey to receive a driving license.
The ceremony was concluded with the inauguration of the website and application of the 10 -10 initiative by HRH Princess Lolowah Al Faisal, HRH Princess Noha Bint Saud Bin Abdulmehsen Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Dr. Haifa Jamal Al Lail.
