Abla. Attia is a Professor of the Electrical Power System Analysis at the College of Engineering at Effat University. She holds her M.Sc in power sytems and Ph.D. in electrical power system stability and control from Ain-Shams University, Egypt, 1984 and 1992 respectively.
Before joining Effat University in 2014, Dr Attia had taught many courses in the electrical power and machines department, Ain-Shams University in Egypt between1980-2005 and then joined Akhbar El-Yom Academy in Egypt in 2005 and became the chair of electrical department 2007-2014. She had participated in several projects of industry and practical applications. She had published more than 50 papers in international conferences and journals and had supervised more than 30 theses including M.SC and Ph.D. degrees. She had honored many prices and selected for the Marquis Who’s Who life achievement award 2017.
Dr Attia’s research interests lie mainly in protection, power quality, and economical studies of power systems and she has presented and published in these fields. She had also many published papers in measuring the magnetic field and studying its effects on human health. Her latest publication is a book titled “Effect of Distributed Generation on Electric Power System Quality: Technical and Economic Study”, Noor Publishing, August 2017.
