Marina Ivaniceva obtained her BA in Film Production from Arts University Bournemouth, UK and her MA in Filmmaking from Bangor University, UK. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Reading, UK researching film editing knowledge, practice, and scholarship that is concerned with establishing closer dialogue and integration between academia and practitioners. Her most recent work has included exploring the opportunities of audiovisual essays for closely analyzing different modes and strategies of film editing.
Marina is also a film editor (Adobe Premiere Pro and Avid Media Composer) and a filmmaker with over 9 years of experience over a variety of content including commercials, promo videos, documentaries, feature films, music videos and educational resources. Her biggest achievement so far is getting the “Best United Kingdom Documentary Short Film” award at London International Motion Pictures Awards 2019 for poetic documentary OREGU.
She joined Effat University Cinematic Arts Department in August, 2021 and teaches film production track.
