Paper Submission and Presentation:
All presenters are invited to submit papers based on their accepted abstracts. The length of the presentations should not exceed 20 minutes.
Requirements
Papers should describe original completed work rather than intended work. A paper accepted for presentation cannot be presented or have been presented at any other meeting with publicly available published proceedings. Papers that are being submitted to other conferences or workshops must indicate this on the title page.
Presentations
- An accepted paper may have more than one author. However, the main presenter in the conference must be specified.
- Selected presenters may be asked to develop their papers for an internationally peer-reviewed volume on the topic as conference proceedings. The presenters are required to pay a Publication fee prior to the presentation date as indicted in the registration page.
Publication Opportunities
IADC 2026 offers multiple international publication pathways for accepted and selected high-quality papers.

Accepted conference papers will be considered for publication as book chapters in the Emerald Studies in Sustainable Architecture and Design (ESSAD) series, published by Emerald Publishing, subject to the required review, revision, and publisher approval processes.
The ESSAD series brings together cutting-edge research in architecture, design, urbanism, sustainability, resilience, heritage, and emerging technologies.
Journal of Engineering and Applied Science (JEAS)

A selection of outstanding papers will be invited for consideration in a Special Collection of the Journal of Engineering and Applied Science (JEAS), published by Springer Nature.
JEAS is a Scopus-indexed (Q2), peer-reviewed Open Access journal. Selected papers will undergo the journal's independent peer-review and editorial processes.
Designs – Special Issue

Selected high-quality papers will also be invited for consideration in the Special Issue:
“Design Innovation for Arid Regions: Sustainable Systems, Emerging Technologies, and Climate-Responsive Solutions”
in Designs, an international, peer-reviewed Open Access journal published by MDPI and indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
The Special Issue is being promoted in collaboration with the 5th International ARCH+DESN Conference (IADC 2026), providing an additional international publication opportunity for outstanding conference research.
Publication Policy
Each paper may be published through one publication route only. Papers selected for publication in a journal Special Issue will therefore be excluded from the ESSAD conference volume to avoid duplicate publication.
Publication in all outlets remains subject to the respective publisher or journal's peer-review, editorial, revision, and final acceptance requirements.
International ARCH & DESN Conference (IADC) Previous Publications
A distinctive feature of the International ARCH & DESN Conference (IADC) is its strong commitment to transforming conference contributions into high-quality scholarly publications with internationally recognized publishers. Through this platform, the Effat College of Architecture and Design (ECoAD) has successfully disseminated the outcomes of its conferences to a global audience, enhancing the impact of research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration in architecture, design, and the built environment.
To date, the conference series has resulted in the publication of six edited volumes with leading international publishers. Three volumes were published with Springer Nature based on previous editions of the conference, including Mosque Architecture: A Transdisciplinary Debate (Scopus-indexed), Cities of the Future: Challenges and Opportunities, and Man and Place: Creative Design Transformations (Web of Science/ISI-indexed).
Building on this success, the conference generated three additional volumes published in 2026 within the Emerald Studies in Sustainable Architecture and Design (ESSAD) series by Emerald Publishing. These volumes reflect the scholarly outcomes of the International ARCH & DESN Conference and its focus on advancing sustainability, resilience, human-centered design, and emerging technologies within architecture and design disciplines.
The published volumes include:
These publications are indexed in Scopus and represent the conference's ongoing contribution to global knowledge production and academic excellence. Through its publication strategy, IADC provides participants with an opportunity not only to present their work to an international audience but also to contribute to lasting scholarly outputs that influence research, practice, and policy worldwide.

The conference continues to strengthen its reputation as a leading international platform for the exchange of innovative ideas and the dissemination of impactful research in architecture, design, urbanism, heritage, sustainability, and emerging technologies.
