​​​Safe AI for Future Education

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming education through personalized learning, adaptive assessment, intelligent tutoring systems, and predictive analytics. However, the adoption of AI in education raises critical concerns around safety, security, privacy, ethics, bias, transparency, and accountability. Without addressing these issues, AI risks undermining trust in education systems rather than strengthening them. 

The motivation for this workshop is to ensure that the future of AI in education is safe, ethical, and trustworthy. By focusing on responsible AI practices, this workshop seeks to shape a vision of education where AI supports inclusivity, protects learner rights, and aligns with institutional and societal values. 

​​Objectives

The workshop aims to: 

  1. Provide a platform for researchers and practitioners to present original research articles, theoretical frameworks, and case studies on Safe AI in education. 
  2. Critically examine data privacy, algorithmic fairness, and security in AI-driven educational tools. 
  3. Explore governance and ethical frameworks for responsible AI adoption in schools and higher education. 
  4. Strengthen collaboration between educators, AI developers, and policymakers on ethical AI in education. ​

​Topics of Interest​

We​ invite submissions including, but not limited to, the following topics: 

  • Privacy and Security in AI-enabled educational systems 
  • Algorithmic Bias and Fairness in learning analytics and adaptive systems  
  • Trustworthy AI and explainability in the classroom 
  • Ethical and Responsible AI frameworks for education 
  • Policy and Governance for AI adoption in education 
  • Case Studies of safe and ethical AI applications in schools, higher education, and lifelong learning 
  • Human–AI Collaboration: balancing automation with teacher roles​

​Paper Format

​Papers must follow the University Learning & Technology (L&T) Conference guidelines: 

  • Full Papers: Maximum 8 pages (including references, tables, and figures) 
  • Short Papers: Maximum 4 pages (including references, tables, and figures) 
  • Written in English and formatted using the official conference template
  • All submissions will undergo peer review
  • Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings

  • Full Paper Submission Dead line: Saturday, January 25, 2026
  • Notification of Acceptance: Wednesday​, February 25, 2026
  • Final Camera-Ready Paper Deadline: Thursday, March 5, 2026
  • End of Early Registration: Thursday​, March 25, 2026​​
  • Conference Dates: Wednesday and Thursday, April 1-2, 2026
