Dr. Rozina Shaheen

Dr. Rozina Shaheen is an Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at Effat University, Saudi Arabia. She holds a PhD in Economics from Loughborough University, UK, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK. She previously served as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar in U.S. Public Policy at Dickinson College, USA, and has held academic roles at the University of Dammam, Loughborough University, NUST, and IBA Karachi. Her research interests lie in applied macroeconomics, monetary economics, and development policy, with published work covering energy markets, fiscal and monetary coordination, tourism demand, and financial sector dynamics. Dr. Shaheen brings specialized expertise in CGE modeling and simulation, econometric and statistical analysis, climate and environmental economics, and sustainable growth policy. She is also experienced in policy engagement in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), energy transition and emissions pricing, research training, and capacity building. She is a recipient of the Queen Effat Award for Excellence in Research and the Queen Effat Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Shaheen is proficient in R, Stata, EViews, MATLAB, and Python, and holds membership in several prestigious international economic associations.​
