Ruwwad Academic Acceleration Program Undergraduate (Bachelor's and Associate's Degree) ​

The Ruwwad Academic Acceleration Program consists of two tracks: Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement​.

Academic and administrative​ fees for the program tracks are as follows:​

  1. First Track: Dual Enrollment

    • The student enrolled in the Dual Enrollment track is subject to the University's applicable tuition & fees policies.

    • The maximum number of credit hours allowed through dual enrollment in the Ruwwad Academic Acceleration Program is 6 credit hours of general education requirements courses or specialized courses available at the colleges per semester.

  2. Second Track: Advanced Placement

    • ​Students enrolled in the advanced placement track are subject to the academic and administrative fee schedule specified for this track, as detailed below.

Effat English Academy Tuition

  • The Effat English Academy Program comprises eight different levels.

  • Completion of eight English levels is not mandatory.

  • Assignment to an EEA program level shall be determined based on the approved English Linguaskill placement test score.

Main Major, Double Major & Minor

Students seeking to broaden their academic experience beyond their primary major may pursue
​additional specializations, either as a minor or a double major.
​These opportunities are available across disciplines offered by any of the four colleges:

Eligibility Requirements:

To pursue a minor or double major, a student must:

  1. Be officially enrolled in a ​bachelor's degree program at Effat University.

  2. Have completed ​at least 36 credit hours​ in their primary major.

  3. Maintain a​ minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.​​

  4. Obtain ​academic advising and approval​ from both their primary department and the department offering the additional program.

Graduation Requirements:

Students must complete all requirements of their ​primary major​ to be eligible for graduation, regardless of progress in a minor or double major.

Credit Hour Tuition Rates:​

Courses taken as part of a minor or double major shall be ​​assessed according to the tuition rate of the college offering the course, irrespective of the student's primary major.​

Credit Hour Overload Tuition

Students should be aware that registration exceeding the average approved credit hour load per semester is subject to Credit Hour Overload Fees. Overload fees are automatically applied for each additional credit hour, in accordance with the approved tuition structure. These fees are not included in tuition scholarships.

Students are advised to review all applicable tuition and fee policies related to credit hour registration and overload charges prior to course enrollment.​

Discontinued Students with active enrolment are categorized into three categories:

  • DNR Discontinued Not-Registered Student or Education Support Plan, and without auditing any courses. (no financial obligation)
  • DRAE (Discontinued Registered in 2 Auditing Courses with Education Support Plan (ESPR) 25,000 per semester (VAT Excluded)

Non-refundable Mandatory Fees:

In addition to the tuition fees applicable to each academic program, all enrolled students are required to pay mandatory fees each semester. These fees apply to all students, regardless of program or course load, and are charged to support essential academic services. Certain mandatory fees are non-refundable as follows. ​

A non-refundable ​ application fee is required for all applicants. The application fee will be collected at the time of the application.

U​niversity Financial Support

  1. Scholarships

    Effat University offers a variety of scholarship opportunities to support eligible students. These scholarships may be funded by the University or through external donors and are awarded based on defined eligibility requirements. Available scholarships may include:

    • Merit-based scholarships (academic, sports, cultural, and overseas students)​​

    • Donor-funded or restricted scholarships.

    • Program-specific or cohort-based scholarships.

    • Financial Aid.

    Scholarship and financial aid coverage may be partial or full, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable scholarship agreement.

    Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

    Scholarship eligibility at Effat University is assessed based on established criteria, which may include:

    • Academic merit based on previous degrees.

    • Enrollment status and academic program.

    • Compliance with university academic and financial policies.

    • Any additional conditions specified by AASC or donors.

    Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee approval, as awards are subject to availability and institutional review.

    Scholarship Application Process

    Scholarships at Effat University are awarded based on a formal contractual agreement that remains valid until graduation, subject to the student's continued compliance with the stipulated academic and conduct requirements.

    Effat University offers academic merit scholarships to new students based on the official documents submitted with their admission application. Eligible students who meet the scholarship requirements are required to sign an official scholarship contract with the University, which confirms the awarded scholarship and outlines the conditions for maintaining it throughout their studies. For other types of financial support, students are requested to apply through the Scholarship Office, and they will be notified of the outcome within two weeks.

    The approved scholarship percentage remains fixed throughout the academic program, provided that the student continues to meet all contractual requirements. Failure to comply with the stated conditions, particularly the minimum required GPA, may result in the suspension or revocation of the scholarship, in accordance with the signed scholarship contract.

    To support student retention and academic success, Effat University offers students whose scholarships have been revoked for non-compliance with academic requirements the opportunity to participate in the Scholarship Success Program. This program provides alternative financial support at a revised scholarship percentage, designed to encourage students to improve their academic performance and successfully continue their studies.

  2. Effat University Installment Plan

    Effat University provides payment options to support students and their families in responsibly managing tuition obligations while recognizing varying financial circumstances, in line with the University's commitment to accessible and sustainable education.

    Effat Payment Plan eligibility: Students may be permitted to pay tuition fees in up to three (3) installments per academic semester, subject to eligibility criteria.

    Eligibility Criteria

    1. Good academic standing.
    2. ​​​​​Financial standing:
      • Zero outstanding balances from previous semesters.

      • The student maintains a consistent payment record on prior installment plans.

      • An amount of ​5,000 of total semester tuition must be paid before activation of the installment plan.

      • Effat University reserves the right to decline installment requests based on risk assessment.

  3. Students’ Loan

    Effat University has established formal agreements with approved third-party financing institutions and foundations to provide student loan solutions that assist students in fulfilling their tuition payment obligations.

    The following third-party financing institutions are approved partners of the university:

    • Maslak Educational Loan Program

      Maslak is an educational financing fund. It is an educational financing fund that enables access to university education by providing educational loans for specializations required in the labor market, with flexible repayment terms during the years of study extending beyond graduation, without interest. The fund operates through a strategic partnership with the General Authority for Awqaf. The Maslak educational loan program is available to Effat University students. Participation is subject to the terms, conditions, and approval of the issuing authority.

    • Social Development Bank (SDB) Education Financing​​

      The Social Development Bank (SDB), a Saudi government development bank, offers an Education Financing product to support students pursuing post-secondary education, including diploma, bachelor's, and master's programs. This product provides educational financing of up to SAR 100,000, disbursed in accordance with the terms and​ conditions approved by SDB, which may include installments or lump-sum payments directly to accredited educational institutions. Participation in this financing option is subject to SDB eligibility criteria and the Bank's approval. The University facilitates information about this option but does not guarantee approval by external financing entities.

    • JeelPay

      Effat University may offer an installment-based tuition payment plan through JeelPay, a licensed financial technology platform that enables tuition payments to be divided into monthly interest-free installments. JeelPay's services are subject to student eligibility, provider approval, and applicable University regulations. Tuition installment arrangements under JeelPay are structured in accordance with JeelPay's authorized terms and with oversight from the Saudi Central Bank.

    • Tamara

      Effat University may offer an installment payment option through Tamara, a licensed financial technology platform that provides Buy Now, Pay Later payment solutions. Under this option, eligible students may settle tuition fees in interest-free installments subject to the terms, conditions, and approval of Tamara and applicable University regulations. Approval, payment schedules, and obligations are governed by the service provider and the student's agreement with Tamara.

  4. Financial Aid

    Effat University has established a Financial Aid Program to support students with limited income and help them continue their academic journey. The program targets students facing urgent or ongoing financial challenges that may hinder their ability to continue their studies, provided they demonstrate academic excellence and comply with the University's academic standards.

​​Eligibility Requirements for Financial Aid

  • ​The student must be in good academic standing according to the approved regulations.

  • The student must provide proof of financial hardship through official documents showing income level, expenses, and family responsibilities.

  • All required documents must be submitted within the specified application period.

The Admissions and Academic Evaluation Committee reviews applications, assesses financial need using approved criteria, and determines the appropriate financial aid amount for each case. Support is granted in accordance with the available budget and the principles of fairness and transparency.

This program aims to ensure access to education for all eligible students, support their academic continuity, and minimize any financial barriers that could prevent them from completing their studies.

​​​Payment Terms and Conditions​

  1. ​Payment Guidelines

    Effat University New Students Payment Guidelines​

    1. Tuition and fees shall be assessed based on the number of registered credit hours.

    2. New students in their first semester at Effat University are required to pay an approved registration fee prior to enrolling in any courses. Upon successful registration, the registration fee shall be credited toward the total tuition fees for that semester.

    3. An approved installment arrangement can be granted to new students upon registration at the beginning of the semester based on eligibility criteria.

    4. New students who choose to pay tuition through installments must comply with the approved installment plan schedule, as published in the Academic Calendar.

    5. Foundation-level students and new students admitted during the first week are exempt from the late registration fee.

    6. The registration fee is non-refundable in the event of withdrawal during the first two (2) weeks of the semester, in accordance with the University's refund policy.

    7. Students receiving scholarships, financial aid, or external sponsorship remain financially responsible for any charges not covered by the awarding entity. Students are responsible for coordinating with the Student Financial Service Unit and the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid regarding application deadlines and award status to avoid placing a hold on their accounts due to late or unpaid balances.

    Effat University Continuing Students Payment Guidelines

    1. All continuing students are eligible to register during the pre-registration period for the following semester, provided that all outstanding financial obligations from previous semesters have been settled.

    2. All continuing students shall complete registration from the start of the pre-registration period up to the day before the first day of classes.

    3. All continuing students are required to settle their tuition fees in full or in accordance with an approved installment arrangement from the start of the pre-registration period and no later than the fifth (5th) day of classes, as specified in the Academic Calendar. Failure to comply may result in administrative actions, including dropping course registrations, in accordance with University policies.

    4. Any continuing student who registers from the first day of classes through the fifth (5th) day of classes shall be considered late in registration and shall be subject to the applicable non-refundable late registration fee amount of 3690, regardless of whether the student maintains a credit balance on their account, in accordance with University regulations.

    5. Foundation-level students are exempt from the late registration fee during the first week of the beginning of the semester.​

    6. This policy does not apply to students whose tuition fees are covered under an active sponsorship agreement or contract signed between the sponsoring entity and Effat University.

  2. Installment Payment Guidelines

    1. All registered students are required to settle their full semester tuition during the pre-registration period and no later than the fifth (5th) day of classes, as specified in the Effat University Academic Calendar published on the University website.
    2. Students who are unable to pay the full tuition amount by the deadline may request to enroll in a tuition installment plan through the Office of Student Financial Services (SFS), subject to approval and compliance with university regulations.
    3. The approved installment plan consists of three (3) installments, with due dates aligned with the official academic calendar of Effat University, as follows:

    4. Failure to comply with the approved installment schedule may result in the application of financial holds and other administrative actions in accordance with university policies.

    5. Effat University reserves the right to withhold access to all student services, including Blackboard and Banner, from students who fail to meet their financial obligations as outlined in the suggested installment plan or their approved installment arrangement.

    6. Effat University cannot waive tuition or fees for students who register on Banner and fail to attend their classes or stop for any reason without completing the clearance form and submitting it to the registration office.

    7. Tuition installment plans may be approved as an alternative to full tuition payment at the beginning of the semester, subject to university regulations and approval by the Management of Finance.

    8. Tuition fees for the summer semester must be paid in full prior to pre-registration, including for visiting or auditing students. No student shall be permitted to register for the summer semester unless all tuition charges are fully settled.

Effat University offers multiple secure and convenient payment options to facilitate tuition and fee settlement. Accepted payment methods include:

    1. Bank transfer

    2. e. Payment

    3. Cash

    4. ​Credit card (VISA, Master Card, American Express)

    5. Apple Pay

    6. Approved installment plans through authorized installment companies

    7. Loan and installment facilities offered in partnership with external financial service providers

All payments are subject to university deadlines and the terms and conditions of the selected payment method​.

Refund Policy

Refund for Associate Diploma and Bachelor's Programs​ Students (Saudi Citizens and non-citizens)

  1. In the event that a refund is processed during the registration period for a new semester, the student account unit shall first check the student account to ensure that the student has not registered for new courses.

  2. The student account unit shall not approve the clearance form if the student account indicates registered courses and shall inform the students to drop all courses and attach an updated account statement for the new semester.

  3. No refund shall be issued for withdrawal from individual courses outside the official Add & Drop period.

  4. The accountant shall ensure that all required clearances from the relevant University units are completed through the approved clearance form (paper and electronic) prior to obtaining Student Account Manager approval. Required clearances include the following units:​

    1. Registration Office
    2. Department Chair
    3. Dean
    4. Library
    5. Management of Finance
    6. Career Counseling and Development Center
    7. Restaurant
    8. Residence
    9. Management of Information and Educational Technology
    10. Child Development Center​

  5. Refunds for courses dropped during the Add & Drop period:​​

  6. ​​​​No refund shall be issued for withdrawals from individual courses or more than after the Add & Drop period.

  7. ​​New students​​: The 5,000 registration fee paid by new students is non-refundable in the event of withdrawal during the first 2 weeks of the semester. After 2 weeks, the refund schedule below is applied.

  8. Continuing students​:​ Registered and enrolled continuing students who want to withdraw from the university or withdraw for a semester, during the 1st and 2nd week of the semester, are obligated to pay an administration fee of ​2500​.

  9. In the event that a student withdraws from the university or withdraws for a semester, the following refund schedule will be applied: (Also reported in the E​ffat University Academic Calendar).​

  10. ​Student refunds with complete documentation will be processed within a minimum of 15 working days.​​​​​

​​Refund for Placement Test Linguaskill & Math Refund:

The Placement Test Lingualskill & Math are Subject to the Following Refund Policy:

  1. A 75% refund will be issued if the cancellation request is submitted within 24 hours​ of payment. No refund will be granted after 24 hours if cancellation is not received.

  2. The test receipt shall be valid for at least one month from the date of issuance or until the end of the add/drop period, whichever is longer.​​​​
