Effat University Tuition and Fees

Regular Students

Tuition is assessed on a per credit-hour basis. Student tuition is assessed each semester on the basis of the student's Major and the number of credits registered. MOE Study Examination By-laws stipulate that the total credit hours per semester should be between 12 and 21 hours.

Tuition Fees for General Education Program

General Education Program requirements for all programs are 42 hours at a rate of the SAR 2100 per credit hour.

Tuition for visiting, auditing, and summer students is calculated as regular student fees.

Effat University offers annual health insurance services (Bronze) level upon the request of the student.

Training Fees

Effat Students in some majors are required to obtain off-site training. If so, a deposit of SR 6,000 requested at the time of pre-advising. If the site chosen does not charge a fee, the deposit will refunded.

Enhancement Centers

  • Enhancement Programs and Centers are part of the educational process at the University, where University student are not required to pay membership fees.
  • Discontinued Students from Effat University are required to pay a membership fee of SAR 25,000 fee per semester.

Payment Policy

Effat University Students

  • Students are required to pay their full tuition and fees upon registration or a payment plan is available.
  • Students are required to check the Effat University Academic Calendar for payment deadlines
  • In case the student chooses to pay in instalments; she should follow the suggested payment plan below.
  • The student is required to consult management of finance for further details

Final Instalment

Deadline for settlement the remaining due balance of total Tuition fees is two weeks before beginning of early registration for the following semester.
  • Students are considered officially registered when all financial obligations are met or specific arrangements (e.g. Instalment plan) have been planned and approved by Management of Finance.
  • Late registration fees of SR 500 will be applied on college students who did not register by the end of Add/Drop period.

Important Notification

Effat University reserves the right to withhold student services including Blackboard and Banner access to students who do not complete their due payment as per their payment plan or if account status is delinquent.

Effat University cannot waive tuition or fees for students who register on Banner and fail to attend their classes, or stop for any reason. Students are required to make their payment in full according the payment plan specified in the Effat University academic calendar.

Refund Policy

(Also reported in the Effat University Academic Calendar)

  • There is no refund for withdrawal from individual courses or more.
  • In the event that a student withdraw completely from the university (Permanent Withdraw or leave of absence), the following refund schedule will be applied:
