The dual enrollment track aims to provide 11th or 12th grade students (the last two years of high school or its equivalent) who excel academically with the opportunity to study some university courses in conjunction with their high school studies, provided they meet specific criteria, with those courses being counted as credit units, if they join the university in a specific period of time according to the study and examinations regulation at the stage If they enroll in the university within a specified period of time in accordance with Effat University's Study and Examination Regulations and its executive rules, the university is keen to provide students with distinctive quality experiences and accelerate them academically. These courses include one of the university level courses, namely English language level courses for the preparatory year, general education requirements courses, and some university specialization courses.
Admission Requirements and Criteria for The Dual Registration Track
- The student must be a regular student in the eleventh or twelfth grade (the last two years of high school).
- The applicant's percentage should not be less than 90% in the last academic year.
- The applicant must not have been expelled from any school, whether for disciplinary or academic reasons.
- Pass the English language admission requirements: Obtain a score of at least 5.5 on the IELTS test, 53 on the TOEFL (iBT), or 162 on the Linguaskill test.

- Application form for the Effat Program to attract pioneering students.
- A copy of the national ID card or residence (valid).
- A copy of the first and second secondary school certificates.
Important Information About The Dual Registration Track
- A male / female student is allowed to register for a maximum of two courses per semester.
- The male / female student is subject to the approved rules for passing courses
in accordance with the study and examination regulations for the university stage and the executive rules of Effat University.
- The male / female student will receive an official academic record from the university with his/her grades in the courses passed at the end of the semester.
- Effat University shall not be responsible if the student fails the courses.
- Effat University shall not be responsible if courses passed by a university other than Effat University are not recognized as equivalent.
- The university allows students to study courses remotely, while semester and final exams are held in person.

How do I apply for the dual enrollment program?
The application for the dual enrollment program is done electronically via the university's website, and the student can also apply at the university headquarters. Is priority given to those who have registered previously for admission to the dual registration program?
There is no priority for the schedule as the student can apply according to the specific dates announced on the website and the academic schedule of Effat University.

The student is not entitled to change the course after completing the registration process and starting the study in the registered course.
I got a low grade in the final assessment, can I retake the course?
There will be no retake of the course if it is not passed or if a high grade is not achieved.
Is it necessary to attend university to study?
The courses will be studied electronically, while the exams will be in-person at Effat University. Before joining the program, the student must know the lecture times for the courses that will be joined and the exam times on the university’s official website.
Can I contact the course professor?
Yes, it is possible via email or by attending the university, depending on the office hours of the course professor.
In what cases will my registration in the program be cancelled?
Registration in the program is cancelled in some cases, which are as follows:
- Failure to meet the announced admission requirements for the dual enrollment program.
- The applicant entered incomplete or incorrect data in the registration application.
- Failure to complete the application form, as the applicant must fill out all the required data and choose the course in which he/she wishes to register, and ensure that the application is sent, as the (Save) option means saving the application to complete it later and does not mean sending it.
Does my acceptance into the dual enrollment program mean my acceptance into Effat University?
Acceptance of the applicant into the dual registration program does not mean his/her acceptance into Effat University, nor does it prevent the student from applying to Effat University during the specified period.
Does a student’s success in the course guarantee his admission to Effat University?
No, the student’s success in the course does not obligate the university to accept him/her, as the student must apply to Effat University during the specified application period.
If a male/female student obtains an academic record stating his/her success in the registered courses, can the student equate these courses in any of the Kingdom's universities?
This depends on the university the student intends to apply to, as Effat University does not bear any responsibility for the “approval or disapproval” of that university to equate that course.
Are the dual enrollment program courses available in all university program plans?
Yes, the courses offered are university requirements that all Effat University students are required to study.
How is the comparison between applicants made?
All students who meet the admission requirements can join the program according to the capacity. If the permitted number is exceeded, comparison will be made according to specific criteria determined by the Admissions and Academic Evaluation Committee at Effat University.
How will students be able to access the electronic systems?
After the applicant is accepted into the program, he/she is given a unique registration number that allows him/her to access the university's electronic systems.
How will the course grades be distributed?
Each course has a specific mechanism for distributing grades. This mechanism is mentioned in the course syllabus and is added to the electronic system at the beginning of studying any course so that all students can easily access the course syllabus provided.
What are the important definitions that a student should know?
- Academic record: A detailed statement that includes all the courses that the student has studied, and the grades he/she has obtained, including: GPA (semester and cumulative)
- Study unit: The weekly theoretical lecture (or clinical lesson) of not less than fifty minutes, or the practical lesson of not less than fifty minutes, or the field lesson specified in the study plan.
- Learning styles: Different teaching methods include: In-person education, blended learning, distance learning, self-education, and other types of education.
- Semester average: The total points obtained by the student is divided by the total number of units for all courses taken in any semester, grade level, or academic year, and these points are calculated by multiplying the assigned unit by the weight of the grade obtained in each course taken by the student.
- GPA: The result of dividing the total points obtained by the student in all the courses he has studied since joining the university by the total number of units required for those courses.
How are course grades calculated?

How will the student’s grades be recorded if he/she is accepted by Effat University?
The student’s grades will be calculated according to the grades he/she obtained, but the student will have the option if he/she wishes to have them calculated in the following manner:
- No grade-Pass (NP): If the student obtains a grade lower than (C+) and it is not included in the calculation of the cumulative average, the course is dropped if the student obtains a grade lower than 75 and repeats it.
I missed the final exam, can I retake it?
If a student is absent from the final exam for any reason, he/she can submit a request to the Deanship of Admission and Registration. If the excuse is approved, he/she will be allowed to take an alternative exam within the specified period according to the academic regulations. The grade obtained by the student after taking the alternative test is calculated according to the approved executive rules. It is recommended to review the specific terms and procedures from the Deanship of Admission and Registration to ensure that all requirements are met.
