Track Two: Advanced Placement

How to Participate in Track Two: Advanced Placement

Terms, criteria and documents required for registration in the Advanced Placement Track
  1. Admission requirements and criteria for the Advanced Placement Track
      • The student must be accepted at Effat University.
      • The applicant's percentage should not be less than 90%.
      • The applicant must not have been expelled from any school for disciplinary or academic reasons.
  2. Documents required to register for the Advanced Placement Track
      • Application form for admission to the program.
      • A copy of the national ID card or residence (valid).
      • A copy of the first, second and third secondary school certificates.
Advanced accommodation controls for the Advanced Placement Track
  1. High school students can apply for advanced placement in the “ Ruwwad Academic Acceleration Program.” To exempt him from studying a course Through several methods as follows:
    • The first method: Pass the specific tests, with the required scores as listed in the tables below.
      • Advanced Placement (AP) Exams/Tests
      • International Baccalaureate (IB) High Level (HL) Exams
      • Cambridge International A Level Exams
      • Qiyas National Center for Measurement and Evaluation Tests
    • The second method: Register for the Effat University exam for the required course on campus and pass it with a score of no less than 80%. Students will be provided with enrichment resources to support and assist them in preparing for the exam.
    • The third method: Register at Effat University for an asynchronous online course to study and prepare for the exam under the supervision and follow-up of a faculty member on the learning process for registered students. All classes will be available asynchronously with minimal interaction and supervision by assigned faculty. Tests will be conducted on campus.
    • The fourth method: Enroll at Effat University in a synchronous online course to study and prepare for the exam. The faculty member assigned to the course will conduct all classes synchronously and will be available weekly for specific hours online to fully support student learning. Tests will be conducted on campus.
  2. Obtaining a minimum passing score for the Effat tests for academic acceleration courses, which is not less than 80%.
  3. If a student passes one or more of the course tests, he is required to study the remaining courses in his study plan.
  4. If a student does not pass the test for any of the academic acceleration courses, he is required to study the course.
  5. Courses for which academic acceleration tests have been passed are not included in the calculation of the student’s overall cumulative GPA.
  6. The maximum number of credit hours allowed for exemption through advanced placement in the “Ruwwad Academic Acceleration Program” is 9 credit hours.
  7. The applicant for the “ Ruwwad Academic Acceleration Program” must pay the academic and administrative fees for the program according to the college and the method chosen by the applicant, as shown in the following table.

Methods to achieve the Advanced Placement Track
The Advanced Placement track aims to attract high-achieving high school students by placing them directly in the colleges of their choice without enrolling in the first year of university, and exempting them from the first year courses at the university, this track is currently available for male and female students wishing to enroll in one of Effat University's colleges.

Note: The maximum number of credit hours allowed for exemption through advanced placement in the “Ruwwad Academic Acceleration Program” is 9 credit hours.

First Method: Passing The English Language Level Courses in The Preparatory Year

This program is designed for high school students accepted into Effat University through direct admission to the desired specializations without enrolling in the preparatory year according to the approved regulations for that. Students are accepted after passing the English language levels directly in the specializations they wish to enroll in. ​​

This program is designed for students accepted into Effat University programs, and aims to exempt students from studying some university requirements of the general education program upon successfully passing specialized academic achievement tests, or proficiency tests (in languages).​​

This program is designed for students accepted into Effat University programs, and aims to exempt students from studying some courses in the desired major upon successfully passing the specialized academic achievement tests.​​
