​Program Overview

The Computer Science at Effat University is offering, in collaboration with the Cisco Networking Academy, an Associate Diploma in Networking including 8 certificates. In addition, students will be prepared for the acquisition of 4 professional Cisco Certifications. Students and professionals are exposed to the new trends in IT, Networking field, and Cybersecurity. ​

Associate Diploma in Networking Degree

Upon the completion of the program, the student is offered an Associate Diploma in Networking. Besides the diploma, students acquire the following Cisco Networking Academy Certificates (upon completion of each course):

  1. CCNA  Security
  2. Cybersecurity Essentials
  3. Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation
  4. Introduction to Networks
  5. IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software
  6. Linux Essentials
  7. Programming Essentials in Python
  8. Switching, Routing, Wireless Essentials​

The diploma prepares the students for the following Professional Cisco Certifications:

  1. CompTIA A+ certification exams 220-1001 and 220-1002
  2. PCAP | Python Certified Associate Programmer certification
  3. Cisco Certified Network Associate certification (Covered by Hadaf/HRDF)
  4. CCNA Security certification (Covered by Hadaf /HRDF).

Admission Requirements:​

High School diploma in Art with a score of 85% or Science with a score of 80% or more and the following standardized tests:

  • 525 TOEFL or 5.5 IELTS minimum.
  • 65% in Saudi Assessment Test (Qudurat).
  • 60% in the Placement Test for Mathematical Skills.
