Effat University Launches 3rd International Conference on Humanities: “Quality of Life: Toward Prosperous and Healthy Societies”

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – October 2025: Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Lolowah Al Faisal, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees and General Supervisor of Effat University, the College of Humanities at Effat University launched the 3rd International Conference on Humanities titled “Quality of Life: Toward Prosperous and Healthy Societies” on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the university’s campus in Jeddah.
The conference saw notable participation from researchers and academics representing local and international universities. Participants engaged in multiple sessions exploring the concept of quality of life and its impact on building healthy and sustainable communities.
The program commenced with the Saudi National Anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran. This was followed by a welcoming address delivered by Dr. Linda Maloul, Dean of the College of Humanities at Effat University. The opening session featured a presentation titled “Quality of Life: Sports at Effat University", followed by the keynote address from H.E. Mr. Badr Al-Qadi, Vice Minister of Sports, who highlighted the pivotal role of sports in enhancing quality of life.
Throughout the day, the conference hosted a series of sessions covering diverse themes, including Mind, Spirit, and Society in the Digital Age, Psychological Well-being and Quality of Life, and The Role of Education and Media in Promoting Human Balance.
Distinguished speakers from leading universities participated in these sessions, including King Abdulaziz University, King Saud University, Umm Al-Qura University, and Dar Al-Hekma University, alongside representatives from universities in Pakistan and Malaysia.
The conference concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Linda Maloul, who emphasized the importance of continuing academic dialogue on the concept of quality of life and its role in shaping a prosperous future for societies.
