Effat University Honors Its Outstanding Students at the 25th Queen Effat Citizenship Award

October 27, 2025 – Under the patronage of HRH Princess Lolowah Al-Faisal, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees and General Supervisor of Effat University, and in the presence of HRH Princess Noura bint Turki Al-Faisal, Assistant to the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, along with several members of the Board of Trustees, Effat University hosted the 25th annual Queen Effat Citizenship Award ceremony to honor its outstanding students. The event was also attended by Sheikh Hussein Al-Banawi, Chairman and CEO of The Industrial Group.
The ceremony began with the national anthem followed by a recitation from the Holy Qur'an. This was followed by a welcoming speech by Dr. Bayan Al-Shabani, Dean of Student Affairs, who expressed her delight at the participation of all attendees at this special event.
A short video highlighting Effat University's “IQRA" values, representing excellence, leadership, and responsibility among students, was then presented.
The program continued with the keynote speech by media professional Mr. Malik Al-Roqi, who discussed the role of media in raising awareness and developing skills among youth.
This was followed by a speech from the guest of honor, Sheikh Hussein Al-Banawi, supporter of the Queen Effat Citizenship Award, who expressed pride in supporting educational initiatives that empower students to develop their talents and achieve excellence.
After the opening speeches, a special video on the Queen Effat Citizenship Award was shown, followed by the announcement of the award winners and the honoring of students listed in the Deans' Lists of Effat University colleges.
The ceremony concluded with a speech by the award winner, Effat University student Esraa Soliman, who expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm to continue excelling and innovating throughout her academic journey.
The ceremony ended on a note of pride and recognition, underscoring the award's role in celebrating student achievements and fostering future leaders.
