Effat University Welcomes the Governor of Jeddah and Opens the Innovation Exhibition

April 2025 – Effat University had the honor of welcoming His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, during an official visit to the university campus. His Highness was received by Her Royal Highness Princess Lolowah Al-Faisal, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees and General Supervisor of Effat University, along with Dr. Haifa Reda Jamal Al-Lail, President of Effat University, and several academic and administrative leaders.
The visit began with a traditional Saudi Ardah performance, followed by a campus tour during which His Highness was introduced to the university's facilities and diverse academic programs. He then inaugurated the Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Exhibition, where he explored projects showcasing the achievements of Effat students across various academic and research disciplines.
During the ceremony, HRH Princess Lolowah Al-Faisal honored the Governor of Jeddah in appreciation of his gracious visit and his continued support for education and innovation.
Effat University President, Dr. Haifa Reda Jamal Al-Lail, delivered a welcoming address in which she praised the university's role in empowering national talent and promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
In a statement on the occasion, Dr. Haifa Reda Jamal Al-Lail said:

The event also featured a short documentary film highlighting the university's academic journey, research achievements, and community initiatives.
One of the university's students delivered a speech on behalf of her fellow entrepreneurship and innovation students, expressing pride in the unique opportunities Effat University offers to develop their skills and prepare them for the future job market.
The visit concluded with a commemorative group photo, marking this special occasion that underscores the vital partnership between educational institutions and the broader community, and reaffirms Effat University's commitment to nurturing a creative generation that contributes to the Kingdom's bright and innovative future.
