“Science Fiction vs Reality in Education: What Inspires what?”
17th & 18th of January 2024
5th & 6th Rajab, 1445 H
Effat University, Jeddah, KSA
From Star Wars to Ender's Game science fiction stories have captivated audiences worldwide with their imaginative portrayals of a future filled with advanced technology and innovative approaches to education. These tales often explore themes such as mentorship, self-discovery, the balance between good and evil, the use of artificial intelligence, space exploration, education in virtual reality environments, human consciousness and ethical considerations, and the potential dangers of advanced technology.
As we often enjoy science fiction stories solely for their entertainment value, we rarely consider the real-world events that inspire them. This raises the question of whether reality or fiction comes first, and which one inspires the creation of the other.
The International Learning and Technology Conference L&T recognizes the significance of this topic and invites researchers, educators, and industry professionals to submit original research, case studies, and conceptual papers that examine the potential of science fiction in education.
Join us at the 2024 Learning and Technology International Conference as we seek to uncover the fascinating relationship between science fiction and the future of education and technology.
We look forward to welcoming you to this thought-provoking event.
Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore's scope and quality requirements.
