About the 9th IET GCC Robotics
Challenge
The GCC Robotics Competition aims to encourage undergraduate students and young professionals across the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) to build an innovative robust robot and compete in a pre-designed arena with space and time constraints, utilizing their academic knowledge and technical skills. The competition will focus on technical feasibility, efficiency, and innovation of the proposed solution, as well as on testing the creativity of the participants. The event aims at exploring technology developments, achieving sustainable development, and building an innovative and informed generation, integrated with the Kingdom's Vision 2030
Theme
The 2025 challenge theme is to present design and innovation ideas related to robotics-based solutions for (Robotics for Agriculture applications), then to present the solutions (online).

- 1st: First Place (Winner)
- 2nd: Second Place (Running Up)
- 3rd: Third Place
Additionally, there are other Classes of Awards for the winning teams:
- The Most Innovative Robotics Concept
- The Most Applied Robotics Concept
- The Most Content Robotics Concept
- The Most Demanded Robotics Concept.
Presentation
Participants are required to present their projects within a 20-minute timeframe, consisting of a 15-minute session presenting their work followed by a 5-minute session for questions and answers. To ensure a smooth and organized presentation, all presenters must use slides to showcase their work. A standardized template for these slides can be found here to maintain consistency and clarity throughout the presentations.
