About the 5th IET GCC Robotics
Challenge
The GCC Robotics Competition aims to encourage undergraduate students and young professionals across the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) to build an innovative robust robot and compete in a pre-designed arena with space and time constraints, utilizing their academic knowledge and technical skills. The competition will focus on technical feasibility, efficiency, and innovation of the proposed solution, as well as on testing the creativity of the participants. The event aims at exploring technology developments, achieving sustainable development, and building an innovative and informed generation, integrated with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
Local Rounds and Details
The challenge consists of 6 rounds. Each round is inspired by a GCC country. All participants need to go through all rounds sequentially where they will receive scores for each round. Teams will be allowed to use the competition arena for 2 hours in order to practice and tweak their robots, and will be allowed to reconfigure their robots between rounds. The winning team from each country will receive a trip to a GCC state, to participate in the final round in addition to a monetary Cup and a Certificates.
