Following the success of the previous Islamic Finance Conferences, Effat University, the Islamic Research and Training Institute IRTI, and the International Center for Education in Islamic Finance INCEIF, are organizing the 7th IFC scheduled to be held on December 16th 2021 ONLINE. Themed “BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE IN ISLAMIC FINANCE”, the forthcoming IFC 2021 is expected to provide a platform for academicians, scholars, researchers, professionals, bankers, insurers and other stakeholders to discuss the current revolution in the digital transformation that the Islamic finance ecosystem could leverage to exponentially enhance business processes and streamline related operations.
McCarthy (1955) presented the concept of artificial intelligence (AI) which represent the intelligence machines that have the ability to think. At this point, AI offers rapid advancement in technology that mimic human intelligence. It’s believed that intelligence machines associated with human thinking activities such as decision making and problem-solving learning. Big data analytics refers to the use of analytics techniques to understand and make use of the information retrieved from various sites and sources and in different sizes. These tools of business intelligence are of great importance in Islamic finance. The Islamic banking and insurance industry can benefit from business intelligence to assure its sustainability.
The IFC 2021 addresses the question related to the sustainability of Islamic Finance in the presence of AI and big data analytics in order to represent the viable strategic option to address current dilemmas of global economies and the ways and means according to which the various tools and models of Islamic finance can survive the post COVID 19?
