 Dr. Amani Gandour

  • Research Interests:

​​​Amani Gandour is an Assistant Professor and Dean of Academic Development and Supportive Studies at Effat University. She holds an MSc in Physics from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, a Filosofie Licentiatexamen in Physics, from Uppsala University, Sweden, and a PhD also in Physics from Uppsala University, Sweden.Before joining Effat University in 2007, Dr. Gandour had worked for 6 years at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USciences) were she taught varied courses in physics.​Dr Gandour’s research interests lies mainly in magnetism in thin films, multilayers and heterostructures, nuclear probe techniques within Materials physics, and DVM, LDA Molecular/Cluster calculations. Recently she became active in the field of physics education, where she received grants and performed excellent progresses, especially among physic teachers in the middle and high school levels.Dr Gandour is a member of the American Physical Society (APS) since 2005.
